For almost 35 years, the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation has been working to provide education, support, and hope for patients living with aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and related bone marrow failure diseases. Each year we partner with the Frontier Fiesta to put together an unforgettable morning dedicated to raising awareness about these rare diseases. Join us in the park for a great day!
Help us raise awareness for bone marrow failure disease!
Make a difference, help a patient. Don't delay!
You can register online through Thursday 3/22/18 for both the 5K and walk, or on site on Saturday 3/24/18. Our goal is to have 500 people running and walking for bone marrow failure diseases.

ABOUT
The Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF) is the world's leading nonprofit health organization for patients and families living with aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and related bone marrow failure diseases.
The Foundation’s strength stems from the multi-faceted community it developed over 30+ years. AAMDSIF serves and educates the patient population and health professionals and provides financial support to clinical researchers searching for better treatments and cures.
For 12 consecutive years, AAMDSIF has earned a coveted 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the highest rating awarded by America’s largest independent charity evaluator. Only 1 percent of all American charities achieve this recognition for sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency.

2018 WALK STAR: RON PORTER
In 2012, Ronald Porter was diagnosed with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH). After joining a local Community of Hope support group, Ron learned about the resources at Houston Methodist where he was more correctly diagnosed with aplastic anemia with a smaller clone sized PNH.
Ron tried Immunosuppressive Therapy Anti-thymocyte Globulin (ATG) to put the diseases into remission. Then in October 2013, he went through a bone marrow transplant.
Ron just celebrated his fourth "re-birthday" disease free and he serves as our Volunteer Coordinator with his wife, Heather!
