Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
1. Explain the role of genetic testing in diagnosing, stratifying and treating myeloid malignancies;
2. Identify emerging treatment options for patients with low-risk MDS, high-risk MDS, and secondary AML;
3. Analyze the nurse's role in managing treatment for myeloid malignancies based on clinical presentations, diagnostic workups, transfusion dependence, and comorbidities;
4. Discuss the nurse's role in collaboration with other disciplines in addressing treatment goals and providing patient education to improve outcomes.

Target Audience
This activity is intended for nurses and nurse practitioners who are involved in the treatment or management of patients with bone marrow failure disease.
Continuing Nursing Education
The Medical Learning Institute, Inc. is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Successful completion of this continuing nursing education activity will be awarded 1.5 contact hours.
Nurse Practitioner Credit Designation (AANP)
This educational program will be submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for approval of up to 1.5 contact hours of accredited education.
