SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Carlos M. De Castro, MD, is a Professor of Medicine and a Member of the Duke Cancer Institute in Durham, NC. He received his MD degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX in 1985. He completed his residency training in internal medicine at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, TX, and his fellowship in hematology and oncology at Duke University Medical Center. He joined the faculty of Duke in 1991. His clinical research is focused on the care of patients with hematological malignancies including acute and chronic leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma. He is especially interested in bone marrow failure syndromes including myelodysplastic syndromes, and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobiniuria.
Dr. De Castro is a member of the AAMDSIF Medical Advisory Board.

Our presenter will be Carlos M. De Castro, MD, a cell therapy and hematologic malignancies specialist who sees patients at Duke Cancer Institute in Durham, NC. Dr. De Castro is a Professor of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine and a member of the AAMDSIF Medical Advisory Board.
Dr. De Castro will address the specific concerns of aplastic anemia and PNH patients related to COVID-19. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers via the webinar platform.
