SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Ilene C. Weitz, MD is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC) and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology.
Dr. Weitz completed her medical degree at Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She conducted a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California.
Dr. Weitz's research and clinical interests include hematologic disorders such as anemias, thrombocytopenia and white blood cell disorders, paroxysmal nocgturnal hemoglobinurua (PNH), immune mediated anemias and thrombocytopenia, thrombosis and hemostasis.

In this webinar, Dr. Ilene C. Weitz from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California will discuss research most relevant to patients reported over the past year on the biology and treatment of aplastic anemia and PNH. These studies were presented at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) 2019 meeting in Orlando, Florida.
Research findings are explained along with the potential impact of this research on understanding and treating aplastic anemia and PNH. Participants will have the opportunity to ask Dr. Weitz questions.
